First over-night trip out
Its always Silverdale. Our go to place. We have been camping here for 20+ years. In nylon tents, our bell tent, Oakley the Horsebox, Heidi the Hymer and most recently Annie Swift our caravan.
We were blessed with lovely mild weather and far less rain than was forecast. Only two nights. Silverdale Hotel for dinner the first (Wednesday) night. The menu hasn’t changed in years! On the Thursday we had a nostalgic trip to Wolf House for coffee, the after lunch in the van, went for a lovely walk through Woodwell to the village, then out the back to the Cove and back over the fields past Silverdale Hotel to the campsite again. Mild and sunny but autumnal too.
Sandra cooked our first meal in the van too. Lovely evening watching TV which was the first of my improvements. More to follow.
Great journey home. Billy is easy to drive, feels powerful and eager. I also mastered the cruise control. Averaged just over 30mpg.
